Placed at a school   Written by Barbara (3/30/2008 11:25 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, And he is, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

This is a good place to put a question I had. Harriet cannot apparently remember anything about her family, so she has been with Mrs. Goddard a long time. How young would be the youngest a girl could go to such a school? I can't imagine it would be before age 5 or 6. Or would it be younger? Colonel Brandon, when he took Eliza as his ward at age 3, had her 'placed at school'--I suppose the same sort of school as Mrs. Goddards.
