could have been the bigger person everyone expects Emma to have been. :-) To apply a quote from P&P: the conduct of neither, if strictly examined, will be irreproachable. But since then they have both improved in civility. They have been very gracious and forgiving towards each other in this meeting.

TimLee pointed out correctly that neither Frank nor Mr. Knightley seem to be on the road towards becoming bosom buddies, but Emma and Jane will continue building their relationship whenever they meet from now on.
