I did say in an earlier post "Probably not dinners".. but I was more thinking of that they wont NEVER NEVER be invited to Hartfield or Donwell but just that it would nto be a common thing.. and it would be MORE likely to be for tea rather than dinner...It woudl be done in a "kindly condescension" way rahter than a "we must invite the Martins to dine when the X's are visiting..". they would not be "equal" guests....
