the John Knightleys and Hartfield Written by Nikki N (3/18/2011 12:07 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, That is an interesting thought, penned by Kathleen Glancy

Actually I was'nt thinking of John Knightley retiring early from his profession, but I was thinking that after inheriting Hartfield, Isabella and John would have Hartfield as their weekend and holiday home. And so if Mr Elton had married Emma he wouldn't want to move to Hartfield, because he would never be master of Hartfield.
