Big congratulations to Lisa Dalrymple for her winning limerick about Miss Woodhouse:
Emma Woodhouse was clever and rich,
Making matches was not her best niche.
She was horrified to find
Harriet made up her mind
Mr. Knightley was hers – back off witch!
Thanks so much to everyone who wrote all of the lovely poems of various sorts throughout the last two months. We thoroughly enjoyed them. You would all have been memorialized in Harriet's "thin quarto of hot-pressed paper, ... ornamented with cyphers and trophies" if I'd had anything to say about it :)
Lisa, I'll be contacting you soon about the prize!
