Ah for years I had it in my head that Mrs Elton said it! but I dont know. I find it hard to imagine that if Mr E did succeed in marrying Emma, he'd wnat to live in teh vicarage. So I'd say he WOULD wnat to move into Hartfield. Perhaps it was jsut sour grapes.
