not settle into the home of the husband. Isn't it just like the Elton's to be the only ones who are throwing cold water on the marriage and planned living arrangements of Emma and Mr. Knightley? Everyone else seems to be delighted. Miss Austen seems quite remorseless in her sinking of those two.

I think Mrs. Elton predicts that the living arrangement at Hartfield will not last beyond a quarter (3 months?) with Mr. Woodhouse and Mr and Mrs Knightley will eventually have to remove to Donwell.
