instead of with the husband's family. Quite sexist, for all her faux-feminist admonitions to Mr. Weston over him opening his wife's letter.

Perhaps she means the servants would quarrel with each other, but I assume that Mr. Knightley won't fully close up Donwell Abbey and will maintain it using a few servants.

And what does she mean by separate within the first quarter? Does she mean that Mr. Knightley and Emma's marriage will break down and they will have to separate?
