in concocting the Dixon fantasy. Not sure where you get that idea from my post? :-) However, I do think Jane's reserve was such that even her best well-wisher like Mr. Knightley felt like he was dealing with a brick-wall. Jane admits herself that her manners would have disgusted Emma because of their coldness and reserve.
