While I agree that Frank Churchill is not an outstandingly honourable character, I admit I would think less of him were he not trying to meet the young lady he is supposed to be in love with more than 'random events would allow.' If a man in love can not attempt to be with his object without censure, then social strictures are too harsh! He knows he must fail at times, but to humbly accept whatever occurrences Fate sends his way and never work for an extra meeting, an extra minute, an extra word, glance or sigh is certainly not admirable to me! Where would his heart be?
