Yes. I think it's the first time in the book that...   Written by Reeba (3/14/2011 7:25 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Nina pin-pointed his being "in love" in Ch 49 and...., penned by jeffrey
Are you new?

we are privy to another persons private thoughts in CH:49 when Mr Knightley reflects about his love and jealousy of FC happening together - or perhaps its the narrator telling us.

Personally I think they are his own thoughts.

It's the moment of realisation.
In CH: 53 he says it loudly to Emma. Perhaps he's being gallant, or from his present position it seems to him that it was always so, and he fixes the age of 13, as the decent lower limit.

I'm trying to find some other explanation since CH. 49 and 53 contradict each other.

Should we go by his private thoughts/narrator's information or should we go along with his 'flirtatious comment'. :-)
