Bates & Knightley   Written by Robbin (3/14/2011 12:58 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Snobs, penned by Bridget D
Are you new?

I think Mr. Knightley’s motives in paying attention to the Bates go beyond the fact they are fallen gentry. I think he is a man of better feeling than that. Their situation is a reason for compassion and attention but I think his motives include the facts they are friends, old friends actually who he has known since he was young and I daresay were friends of his parents as well. (:D)
