Woman Scorned   Written by Robbin (3/13/2011 4:01 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Emma says that before the Ball, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

Mr. Knightley may have scorned Harriet as a companion but it does not appear he refused introduction to her as Emma did Mr. Martin or avoided speaking to her as Emma sometimes did the Bates and Miss Fairfax. I have said Emma was ungracious on Donwell Road because she would not ask for an introduction and exchange a few words with Mr. Martin although he was worthy of the distinction—Mr. Knightley met this standard and more with Harriet. I never expected Emma to socialize with Mr. Martin even had an introduction happened. However I do agree it is Mr. Elton’s doing that Mr. Knightley began to notice Harriet as more than a casual acquaintance. (:D)
