Would Frank have represented Harriet as highly as he did Jane? I don't know, of course, but I expect he would have said whatever he thought necessary, unless Mr. Churchill grilled him hard about the lady being advanced as a new mistress of Enscombe.

Would Mr. Churchill have made such demands about the new lady?
