I have never felt that Frank needed to indulge in these games of subterfuge in the first place. All he had to do was come to Highbury and just be with Jane as opportunities were presented. But, no, that was not enough for Frank, he selfishly wanted to be with Jane more than random events would allow. What really bothers me is the sense of enjoyment he seemed to get out of duping everyone. There are times when he is playing both Emma and Jane at the same time. He would say something that would have a different meaning for each of them. I find this really low. Mrs. Weston is expecting a letter from Frank so it will be interesting to see what he has to say for himself.
