True enough, but . . .   Written by Mary Anne (3/7/2011 8:15 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Alas, Emma found she had created a monster, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

]I almost feel sorry for Emma because she finds herself “in love, and in some doubt of a return” (5) just as Mr. Knightley thought would do her good. I think it does do her good—it makes her think.

I wonder if that comment comes back to haunt Mr. Knightley when he finds himself in the same position with regard to Emma. I've always thought and still think that comment does not become him, whatever good it might do Emma. Now that he's had a chance to experience that kind of anxiety and self-doubt, maybe he'll be more careful about such comments in the future. I now prepare myself to dodge the rain of brickbats. ;-)
