Half read books :-D   Written by Reeba (3/5/2011 7:51 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Oh, I see now but, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

That's been my view all along. The influence of books that Emma reads/half reads.

-her thinking that Harriet is the daughter of some high ranking gentleman
-Jane's pairing off with Mr Dixon and Harriet's with FC just because they were saved from some danger looming ahead
-since no one around has opinion like Emma's, or should I say to the extent Emma shows and feels regarding class,it *has* to be books.

In her discussion about books with Harriet they talk about 'Romance in the Forest' a gothic novel written by Ann Radcliffe, I think she's influenced by her reading. May not be this particular book, but other similar ones.
