That is an awful lot of snobs   Written by Robbin (3/5/2011 12:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Snobbery, penned by Bridget D
Are you new?

What historical evidence do you have every middle and upper class child learned snobbery? “All” seems an awful lot of children and I don't think that is a conclusion that can be boosted by an examination of JA's characters. Also in saying every middle and upper class child learned snobbery are you not contradicting yourself? You just told me:

There is no need for Emma to have "learned her snobbery" anywhere.” (post 50350)

What’s up with that? If you are now agreeing snobbery is a learned attitude then we have come full circle to the original question who or what taught it too Emma? (:D)
