Waiting for horses   Written by Laraine (3/2/2011 5:53 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Thinking of the Horses, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

I believe that waiting for carriage horses was considered about as much fun as we consider waiting for a bus. Therefore, when Mrs. Elton talks about hers being expeditious, it's mostly about the fact that they are so superior to all others (as everything of hers is) that she reigns supreme still. I wouldn't be shocked to know that her horses were as fast as John Thorpe's :)
