I have often wished...   Written by Lynn (2/24/2011 1:09 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Not noticing it or not speaking of it?, penned by TimLee
Are you new?

I had as much delight in other people as she does. She doesn't seem to get frustrated with others as I am like to do. :-) Or is it just forbearance? Either way, she has many admirable qualities.

I'm already chatty enough, though, so that is one aspect of her personality I wouldn't need more of!

When I was reading this in a college course, we had a big discussion about the possibility of Austen portraying Miss Bates as a "Good Woman." In the larger sense. Quite an interesting thought.
