Mr Weston and Mrs Elton   Written by Lisa Dalrymple (2/22/2011 12:46 p.m.)
Are you new?

The conversation between these two in chapter 36 is so funny. It perfectly describes how two people who like to talk about themselves keep turning the conversation back to where they want it to be. Mrs E keeps talking about Maple Grove and Mr W keeps turning the conversation back to Frank. I feel like I'm there watching these two grapple for control of the conversation. I doubt they are even listening to each other. Mrs E probably doesn't have to worry about her remark that Salina is not a fine lady even being remembered by Mr. W.

Highbury certainly won't be boring with Mrs. E around.

(I can't believe I am so late to the group read - I forgot all about it!)
