The vulgar Cox sisters.   Written by Reeba (2/17/2011 3:42 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Emma's double standard, penned by Kathleen Glancy
Are you new?

This is an interesting piece of dialogue, because JA expressed similar sentiments about a one of the real Cox sisters in her letter 27 to Cassandra;

"The two Miss Coxes were there; I traced in one the remains of the vulgar , broad featured girls who danced at Enham eight years ago;..."

Emma's comment.
"She meant to be impertinently curious, just as such an Anne Cox should be."
LOL! She's so amusing. :-D
