That is interesting, Delories. I never thought past the obvious class issues in Emma to a focus on the specifics of changing of one's class for a higher one! Already we have examples of that (although, no extremes; most are from a less wealthy state within the class they are still rooted within).

When does Emma take offense at an implication about Mrs. Weston?

(May I thank you all for an excellent group read so far? New ideas are tripping around merrily in my brain -- I am having a fun time!)
