a bad thing for her to be very much in love   Written by Stephanie (2/16/2011 6:48 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Danger still Unpreceived, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

In ch. 5, Mr. Knightley says

I should like to see Emma in love, and in some doubt of a return; it would do her good.

Here, you have noticed that the being in love and having no doubt of a return is problematic for someone of Emma's temperament and situation. It does NOT do her good.

Well noted, Sir.
