I agree Miss Bates ramblings should not be dismissed as meaningless. Her asking after Harriet is at an interesting point in her narrative and I have absolutely nothing against conjecturing. (:D) There are a lot of hints in Mr. Knightley’s behavior that points to an interest in Jane and of course Mrs. Weston suggests a match at the Cole’s party. One thing that seems clear though is that Mr. Knightley did not send the pianoforte. (:D)
