Harriet totally bewitched and cast under a spell by Emma?   Written by jeffrey (2/14/2011 3:40 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, While the major share..., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

I'm still having difficulty pointing the finger of blame at poor little Harriet at this point. I think she is intimidated to the point of being fearful of opposing Emma at any juncture.

Harriet is so gullible and easily influenced by Emma it is almost as if she has been put under a spell! Well, in a de facto sort of way, she has. At some point, Miss Smith MUST resolve to know her own mind and eventually defy the dictates of Emma. Methinks neither of these two have learned a lesson yet because self-realization is still not in their vocabulary.
