While the major share...   Written by Reeba (2/14/2011 2:41 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Emma does not learn her lesson, penned by Glenn
Are you new?

of the blame lay with Emma in the earlier case, in this case the major share lies with Harriet.

She's the one who should be feeling sentimental, as she did when she saw the markings on the wainscot.

I still feel if not her head, her heart should tell her what to do.
I feel very sure that if Harriet insisted Emma would finally give way.
OR
Better still - she knows Emma would stop her so she could go without first discussing it with her, straight from Mrs Goddard's.

I feel very very sad and sorry for the Martins, and really want to shake Harriet vigourously. She makes me so angry. Grrrrr!!
I have seen simple minded people, but even they can get passionate and want their own way some time.

I don't accept that in front of Emma she's a mouse and says nothing. At least not after what happened with Elton.
