She's not even thinking of Dixon at this point.   Written by Reeba (2/13/2011 4:12 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Rendering justice, penned by Glenn
Are you new?

CH:20

"In short, she sat, during the first visit, looking at Jane Fairfax with twofold complacency; the sense of pleasure and the sense of rendering justice, and was determining that she would dislike her no longer."

It's Emma who wants to 'render justice'. It is one of her complacent feelings along with pleasure.
She wants to render justice by not disliking her any longer...."because" she was thinking earlier on that;

"It was a dislike so little just -- every imputed fault was so magnified by fancy,"

It has nothing to do with her becoming a governess.
