That's exactly what Emma thought too in CH:12
"..there was something honourable and valuable in the strong domestic habits, [...] It had a high claim to forbearance."

I'm not sure if Emma would have been forgiven for this selfish act though ;-)

The peace of quite a few characters is certainly disturbed. Thanks Robbins. Very nicely written. :)
