Not at all. I'm not...   Written by Reeba (2/11/2011 10:54 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Emma and Mrs/Miss Bates -- what a sad commentary on, penned by AnnetteJ
Are you new?

washing my hands off Emma.

She has little patience with a persom who talks a lot on little matters, and I think there are many mature and immature who would feel the same.
Some mature people would have the patience and the tolerance at their age.

I think even if Miss Bates hadn't been reduced to her present circumstances Emma would still feel the same....at this stage of her immaturity.

Regarding the second /third rate people of Highbury, she certainly doesn't mean Miss bates.
Miss Bates is a regular visitor to Hartfield, a carriage sent for her, and Emma 'has' visited her at her place.
