It's been a long time since I first read Emma, Jeffrey, but I recall being blindsided by just about every turn of events all the way to the end of the book. I was definitely surprised by Elton and Emma.

I am definitely a Type A, and the first time I read novels I am so focused on the plot that I miss a lot of the character development subtleties. That's why I love these group reads!
