I like what you said, and...   Written by Donald (2/7/2011 6:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Harriet's Lovers (long), penned by Robbin
Are you new?

Hi,

I'm just adding my agreements to the rest of the chorus of well-wishers, but I do have one little detail to add--I think it's interesting that we have not (so far) heard words from Mr. Martin's mouth (meaning, of course, lines he speaks, within quotes, in the novel's text), while Mr. Elton gushes like a busted water main.

I guess that makes Mr Robert Martin a man of action (well, he DOES speak, but so far, we're not allowed to hear his speeches first hand), and Mr Elton all talk (and hot air at that)!

Seriously though, where on earth did Mr Elton get the notion that nonstop flattery will win a wife worth having?!

Thanks for reading!
