A cinquain is a five-line poem often described as follows:
- Line one contains one noun.
- Line two contains two adjectives that describe line one.
- Line three contains three verbs that relate to line one
- Line four contains four words that describe “feelings” relating to line one. Often it is a full sentence.
- Line five contains a synonym of line one, or a word that sums up the poem.
Other variations are accepted, but please stay within the general form.
For example:
Heroine
Beautiful, happy
Imagining, manipulating, caring
More bored than evil
