Are you new?

If Emma is fond of her family because they dote on her, it is a very human trait, and she shows her fondness well, but catering to their human traits!

But she can not be as hungry for praise as, say, Lady Catherine in Pride and Prejudice, since Mr. Elton's overdone gallantry and complimentary addresses alternately amuse and annoy her.
