Chapter 12 has so many very beautiful parts, but what I love most about is it Emma and Mr. Knightley doing their best to keep their relatives from spoiling the quiet evening...

They have some real Olympian-level tag-team precision going on :)

What's funniest to me is the way that there are only five people (and close relations at that!) in the room and two of them are having to re-direct the conversation about once every minute because they want everyone to have a pleasant evening.

How oblivious to the other three have to be not to catch on and regulate themselves!!
