From Ch. 11:   Written by Nina RG (1/31/2011 12:01 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, From what I can gather, Emma has never ventured into, penned by AnnetteJ
Are you new?

"but all the holidays of this autumn had been given to sea-bathing for the children, and it was therefore many months since they [the John Knightleys] had been seen in a regular way by their Surrey connections, or seen at all by Mr. Woodhouse, who could not be induced to get so far as London, even for poor Isabella's sake"

Only Mr Woodhouse is pointed out here as not willing to go to London, so I guess Emma could have visited the John Knightleys in London - perhaps with Mr Knightley as a companion?
