Mrs. Weston says that "that I thought so then; -- but since we have parted, I can never remember Emma's omitting to do any thing I wished."

She has married and moved away from Emma, and has happy memories of the people she loves. She misses Emma and thus, can only remember the positives. But Mr. Knigtley has not moved away. His situation relative to Emma still remains the same. While caring for her as much as Mrs. Weston does, he can still see he faults plainly. :-)
