Assertions Emma does not really believe?   Written by Robbin (1/30/2011 3:26 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Treatment, penned by Reeba
Are you new?

Are Emma’s stated opinions of Robert Martin false? If Emma does not really believe the opinions of Robert Martin that she is feeding Harriet then it is rather dishonorable for her to say them at all. I don’t see how Robert Martin’s ignorance and Harriet’s general acceptance of Emma’s assertions lessens her responsibility for the justness of her opinions. Lies matter, especially when they are used to persuade. I have thought Emma wrongheaded rather than a liar. (:D)
