I have recently been very brave and actually read Emma Tennant's 'sequel', 'Emma In Love' - it didn't take me very long, because it's actually more of a stretched-out short story - and Tennant does seem to suggest that there is more to Mr Knightley's relationship with Mrs Weston than appears in 'Emma'. Least said, soonest mended!
