Emma's treatment/attitude towards Robert Martin does bother me greatly. Afterall, she seems to demean him in a determined attempt to influence Harriet's feelings. It also speaks poorly of Harriet's character, to be so easily led into believing poorly of the Martins, who have shown nothing but kindness and generosity towards her.
