The book is all about various forms of lying, as you note. To me, the self-deceptions - the way the characters lie to themselves -- are the ones Jane Austen has the most fun, but there are many other kinds of lies to find. You are astute to make a study of lying as your focus and I look forward to your further inquiries and categorizations of them!

I'm looking at how Emma matures in her understanding of men, which is a closely related study!
