There is no sense of her being treated as an inferior. That is another reason why I think Emma exhibits selective snobbery.

I am not sure how old Mrs. Weston is, but she sounds like in her early 30s- it is quite possible that the Woodhouse family was her first Governessing job. Mr. Woodhouse, with two little girls, would have become completely dependent on Miss Taylor, and she in turn, lavished all her affection on her new "family".
