did love her husband, so I am thinking that he may not have been totally aware of his wife's conflicted feelings -- part of that could have been deciding not to see. It is impossible to tell what the marriage would have become had she not died so young - she could have grown content in her married state due to having a child to dote upon, or she could have become a shrew. No way to know!
