|I cannot stand this any more!

Dear Lady Catherine,
First of all, please do not start by asking me my age, or why I am not yet married, or why I insist on living at home with my mother and dressing in these drab garments. Prior to today, I should have answered meekly that at 29, I just do not have the beauty nor the temperament to attract those young men in Deerwood. My mother insists that I dress this way, and wear my hair in a pompadour that I am quite sure does not suit me.
But today, I discovered, to my horror, that I am dying.
My doctor has informed me that my heart palpitations and breathlessness is a symptom of serious heart disease, and I shall not live for another year.
I am determined to live, Lady Catherine! To enjoy the outdoors (as described by my favourite author, John Foster), to do something useful, to be myself!
And not to be called "Doss" any more.
Could you perhaps please advise me as to a course of action?
