To the People of Lilliput,
I am not particularly disposed to favor a giant. There is no merit in extraordinary large size yet it is the means of bringing persons of obscure birth into undue distinction. I cannot condone the excessive hospitality you have showered on this giant, who I am sure, is not worth the trouble of looking at. Giants, one and all, are monstrous figures of men and a giant in the Navy is the most deplorable of them all. They are all knocked about, exposed to every climate and weather, till they are not fit to be seen, even by their fellow giants. I have observed it all my life. My advice is to knock the giant on the head and push him back into the sea from which he came. It is a pity all giants are not disposed of in similar fashion before they become a problem.
