Both Emma and Mr. Knightley, and Frank, too, actually, see Frank as a lucky person, and so do I. His uncle was never going to be hard to persuade on a financial basis, nor his father on a social one (Mrs. Weston [former governess, seems a little odd] says 'it's not a connection to gratify' but they are OK with it.
It's his aunt who was always the problem. I always wished Emma had some scenes like the ones with Elizabeth and Lady Catherine at Rosings where Lady C has no idea about a courtship happening right under her nose with an inferior person. But there must be some reason there are no titled people in Emma, at least none I can recall.
