Im not so sure he'd see a London physican. Mr W has strong local loyalties and nobody is better than his Mr Perry. And given his preference for a quiet country life and a social life that was suited to his own needs, (people who would come when he asked them, not stay too late etc) I doubt if he'd be all that keen on holding a ball or inviting Londoners to visit etc. Its not that he would wish to deprive Emma but he would be horrified that young ladies might stay up late to dance, or dance with open windows etc, and I dont think that Emma would push for any such activities. Until she lost Miss T, she was pretty much content iwht her own quiet social life...
