Horses   Written by bridget D (3/17/2013 9:32 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Donwell horses, penned by Thérèse
Are you new?

It was common enough for horses that were used for carriages to be also used for farm work and to the best of my knowledge oxen were not used on British farms. Mr K certianly has one carriage but I am not sure why you think he'd have several. He problaby had one which had been used by his mother, and he might have light carriage such as a gig or pony trap for himself for some journeys. but mostly as JA told us he walked or rode.
