Are you new?

Im not so sure that it was exactly that she beleived Frank was really deep "In love" with Emma.

But she knew that Em was the sort of young woman his family would expect him to marry, that Mr Weston had hopes, and Mrs W and that Aunt Churchill would probalby be OK with his marrying a rich girl like Em. And he was flirting with Em and she with him, so it was possible that there was an attraction. But I think that it was more of a feeling of "Oh Dear. I Know he is not going to marry me, not because he is a bad guy but because he's not strong enough to stand up to his family and tell them he's going to marry a poor girl and if necessary do without inheriting the Churchill fortune."
And out of pride and love, she felt it was best to break off the engagement..
